Okay so....
As I mentioned t'other day singanathema is putting together a number of events to raise money for in memory of her wonderful mum Bridget.

The first event is a variety performance which will be on Saturday the 24th of June from 7pm until midnight in The Showman (formerly the Roadhouse)on Cowick street.
The idea behind it is that people will be sponsored to do a reading or performance of their choice.
byteback is going to do a fifteen/twenty minute 'pop' set list with 'artists' including Steps, S Club 7, Aqua and Daphne and Celeste - let's face it he'd HAVE to be sponsored to do that!!!
danielhillier is going to do a juggling performance with Amy.
samthefairy is planning on doing some beat poetry.

As for me...well, for my sponsored performance on the night I shall be teaming up with jantshira. We will be taking an extract from a Georgette Heyer book (not sure which one yet) and turning it into a little play. Gah - I'm nervous already!!!

So this message is basically to say - if you're in the Exeter area - GET INVOLVED!!!

Whether it's taking part in the sponsored Paint-a-mug race, Bad Poetry competition (both with suitable prizes), buying raffle tickets, seeing how many faces you can paint in ten minutes, staying on a pogo stick for fice minutes (something I can;'t do!!), singing a little song or any number of other equally silly things; get a sponsor form and DO IT!!!
